Shoe Donation Programs
Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 9:02PM Nike’s Reuse-A-Shoe Program
Nike has been recycling shoes since 1993. The Reuse-A-Shoe program takes your worn-out kicks and turns them into Nike Grind, a material used in sports surfaces, playgrounds and new Nike products.
1. If you're part of a school, university group or non-profit organization, you could collect worn-out athletic shoes for your very own Reuse-A-Shoe drive.
It’s easy, just fill out this FORM on the Nike website.
2. Nike has Reuse-A-Shoe bins in all its U.S. retail locations - over 150 stores, where you deposit your worn out shoes. By also partnering with the National Recycling Coalition Nike has increased their number of convenient drop-off facilities.
